Jesus expects me to......

PRAY fervently

Luke 11:9-10

I say to you, Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

WORSHIP faithfully

Matthew 4:10

...Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.

John 4:24

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

ENCOURAGE one another

Luke 22:32

...Strengthen your brothers (and sisters).

John 13:34

I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.

READ the Scriptures daily

Luke 11:28

Blessed ... are those who hear the word of God and obey it!

GIVE freely of the gifts I have received from God

Mark 12:17

...Give to the emperor the things that are the emperor’s, and to God the things that are God’s.

Luke 6:38

...Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you give back.

INVITE others to know Him

Matthew 22:9

Go therefore into the main streets, and invite everyone you find to the wedding banquet.

Matthew 28:19-20

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.

SERVE all people

Matthew 20:27

...the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Matthew 25:40

...Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.




...and where I fall short of his expectations, Jesus always offers me his love and forgiveness!
