The Sunday School Teachers meeting will be held on Monday, August 25, at 6:00pm.

Our summer worship schedule will begin on Sunday, May 25 (Memorial Day weekend). There will be one service which will begin at 9:30am. This schedule will continue through Labor Day weekend. There will be no Sunday School during the summer months.


Mid-week worship with Holy Communion is being offered again this summer. The worship services are scheduled for the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm, beginning June 11. Please consider this service if you miss the Sunday morning worship or would like a time in the middle of the week for spiritual renewal.

Church picnic will be held on Sunday, September 7, at 11:30am in Frances Park.

The 2008-2009 BELC Phone Directory is being assembled. If you have changes, corrections or updates, please call the church office.

Nursery volunteers needed! We are seeking 10 new volunteers to help us in the nursery. This will allow us to schedule our volunteers once every few months instead of monthly. Please sign up on the volunteer sheet in the social hall. Please contact Carrie Wheeler if have any questions.

Fair Trade Coffee sales. Beginning June 8, we will be selling LWR/Equal Exchange Fair Trade Coffee in the Social Hall after the 9:30am service. Sales will take place on the second Sunday of each month. Products include regular and decaf drip grind coffee and hot chocolate. Prices range from $5.25 to $6.50 for a 12 oz. package. The coffee and hot chocolate are being sold at cost plus the cost of shipping.

National Youth Gathering. An informational meeting for parents and youth for 2009 National Youth Gathering will be held Sunday, August 24 at 6:30pm. See the posters on the dividers in the gym for more information.

Children's bulletins are available each Sunday from the ushers. These special bulletins help our children better understand God's Word in today's lessons.

Food Bank substitutes are needed! If you can work in the food bank 3 hours per week, please call Jack and Sandy Midgley. If you can work on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday, we would sure like to have your help.
