Food Bank Sunday is the first Sunday of the month. Our church serves as a distribution center for the Greater Lansing Food Bank. Because of budget constraints, we are no longer able to get some items through the GLFB. It will be helpful if our members will keep the following items in mind as they shop for Food Bank Sunday donations:

Hamburger helper, rice dinners, egg noodles, cake mixes/frosting

Bath soap, deodorant, toothpaste, hair shampoo, etc.

Cash so that we can purchase meat.

Help is needed to assist members and guests at the front entrance on Sunday mornings. See Rick Wyble.

The Old Testament Reading Plan Continues

Currently there are some members of the congregation reading through many parts of the Old Testament. Even if you did not start the plan last fall, you can still join in on the rest of the journey. The idea is for us to get a good picture about the story of the Old Testament and how the different stories and the books fit together. Basically we will read a chapter a day and a psalm on most Sundays. Hopefully, through this reading plan you will gain a better understanding of God's love for his people and that his love kept coming to them again and again, culminating in the coming of Jesus, the Christ. Please click to see a more detailed explanation of the program and a schedule for reading the Old Testament.

Valet Parking is now offered on Sunday mornings. If you want the Valet service, drive up under the overhang. They will then escort you to the door, park your car and return the keys to you. After church they will get the keys from you and retrieve your vehicle. Watch for the vests marked with "Valet Parking" to identify them.

This website contains a page on the history of our church. A committee has put together a site which contains much more information on our church history. Please go to Link to Bethlehem history to view this interesting collection of events of our past.

Bethlehem now has a group on Facebook which is an online networking site. Please consider joining the Bethlehem Group.

Fair Trade Coffee sales. We are selling LWR/Equal Exchange Fair Trade Coffee in the Social Hall after the 8:15 service of worship and during the Sunday School hour.  Sales will take place on the second Sunday of each month. Products include regular and decaf drip grind coffee and hot chocolate. Prices range from $5.25 to $6.50 for a 12 oz. package. The coffee and hot chocolate are being sold at cost plus the cost of shipping.

Children's bulletins are available each Sunday from the ushers. These special bulletins help our children better understand God's Word in today's lessons.
