7/24/2021 Update

On Friday, July 23, 2021, the BELC Congregation Council voted unanimously to "temporarily prohibit outward singing in church and go back to wearing masks."

This applies to everyone, regardless of vaccination status, and is in response to rising COVID numbers and the rapidly spreading Delta variant.

Thank you for your understanding.

The Congregation Council of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church (549 E. Mt Hope, Lansing), at the recommendation of the Board of Worship Life, has decided that we will have one service starting Sunday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m.. Fully vaccinated people and those carrying antibodies from previous infection are still asked to wear masks. Unvaccinated and immunocompromised people, and children aged 2-11 are asked to wear masks or consider staying home.

For now, it will feel different from the past, but it will feel more like worship if you are there!

There will be simple sign-in sheets by the main doors (for contact tracing), no temperature checks. Please check your temp at home before you come, and if you are not feeling well or have a fever +100.4, please stay home. There will be no singing, and people will pick up prepackaged communion from a table on the way in. There will be no printed bulletin or announcements. Ushers will dismiss people by rows to decrease congestion. You are encouraged to go directly outside where the pastor will greet people.

Please share this news and invitation with everyone, especially anyone you can think of who might not have internet access.

*Worship will still be available on Facebook and YouTube at 10:00 am.)

WORSHIP: 10:00 a.m.
